Titles on Trial: Have Your Say

Last Monday, we started a one week trial of titles in Habbo Origins. During the mushroom event, you've been able to earn event titles, choose one in the infostand editor and show it off around the hotel.

Now that you've had a week with them, it's time to decide whether titles stay.

Titles were first put to a vote in August 2024, before Origins had profiles or the infostand editor. This time, you've seen how they actually work in the game before voting.

How Titles Would Work

Titles would follow what's happening in the hotel. They would be released for set periods during events and campaigns, and not every title would stay available permanently. Once an event ends, its titles may not come back, so the titles you hold show where you've been and what you've done.

Titles could be earned in several ways:

• Activity Track rewards – unlock titles as you progress through an event's Activity Track.
• Competition prizes – win titles in hotel competitions.
• Stamps – some titles could be put on sale for Stamps.

This part isn't on the ballot. The poll decides whether titles stay and where they appear.

You Decide Where Titles Appear

From Wednesday, Habbos across all three hotels can vote on four questions. Each question is counted separately, so you can vote Yes on some and No on others.

1. Should titles stay in Habbo Origins?

A Yes keeps titles in the game. The title you choose shows on your infostand whenever another Habbo clicks on you. It also opens the door to more pill styles. Right now, every title sits on the same plain grey pill. New pill styles would change the art behind your title, just like nameplates.

• Yes – titles stay in Origins and show on your infostand, and more pill styles could follow.
• No – titles are removed from Origins, including those earned during the trial.

2. Should your title also show on your Habbo profile?

When we polled Profiles in May, we said titles could be one of the next things added to them. A Yes puts your title on your profile, alongside your skill levels, game rankings and win/loss records.

• Yes – your title shows on your profile too.
• No – titles only show on your infostand.

3. Should your title also show in your speech bubbles?

Most of Origins happens in chat. With titles in speech bubbles, the Habbos you're talking to would see your title as you chat, without having to click on you. This one has its own question, so you can decide on it separately. If you'd rather keep speech bubbles as they are, Question 4 offers another way to see titles in chat.

• Yes – your title shows in your speech bubbles when you talk.
• No – speech bubbles stay as they are.

4. Should your title also show in chat history?

This one is new: it wasn't part of the trial. Chat history is where you scroll back through what's been said in a room. A Yes shows titles there, without changing anything in the room itself. If you'd like to see titles in chat but not in speech bubbles, this is the question for you.

• Yes – your title shows in chat history.
• No – chat history stays as it is.

What Do the Results Mean?

Question 1 decides whether titles stay in Origins. Questions 2, 3 and 4 decide where else they appear.

If Question 1 passes, titles become a permanent part of Origins, they show on your infostand, and you keep the titles you earned during the mushroom event. Questions 2, 3 and 4 then each decide whether titles also appear on profiles, in speech bubbles and in chat history. Questions 3 and 4 are independent, so titles could appear in both, either or neither.

If Question 1 does not pass, titles will be removed from Origins, including those earned during the trial. Titles will not be added to profiles, speech bubbles or chat history, regardless of the results of Questions 2, 3 and 4.

Cast Your Vote!

The poll opens on Wednesday 30th September at the InfoBus Park and will remain open for one week, until Wednesday 7th October at 12:00 UTC.

As with previous InfoBus Polls, voting is limited to Habbo Club members. This helps reduce alt account abuse and keeps results focused on active members of the community.

As a reminder, each question in the InfoBus Poll requires a minimum 70% approval rating to pass. Votes from all three hotels are counted together, and each question will be considered separately based on the votes it receives.

If Question 1 does not pass, titles will not be added to profiles, speech bubbles or chat history, regardless of the results of Questions 2, 3 and 4.
