KINGDOMS OF SAND: ROOM COMPETITION - Winners

The results are in for KINGDOMS OF SAND! From an underwater fortress to a playful sandcastle siege and sun-soaked resort courtyards, the selected rooms took the theme far beyond a bucket and spade.

We looked for imaginative kingdoms that put sand at the heart of distinctive architecture, using the new sand furni thoughtfully alongside layered layouts and details that brought summer or coastal life into the scene.

Winners

Wessley takes first place with a richly layered underwater kingdom, followed by Wsly’s monumental fortifications and inventive wooden siege horse in second, and Snauzher’s towering sandcastle and lush pool courtyard in third. Todde95’s cohesive, two-level sandcastle resort claims fourth, while maver1995’s dragon-guarded seaside fortress, complete with a drawbridge and playful beach details, rounds out the top five.

#1 - Wessley

Feedback: First place takes the kingdom beneath the waves, with stepped rock terraces, glowing blue openings and a dark fortress surrounded by marine growth. Barrels, scattered treasure and sea creatures give the lower levels a strong sense of discovery. The ambitious vertical composition and coherent underwater atmosphere make this an exceptionally memorable interpretation of the theme.

#2 - Wsly

Feedback: Second place pairs monumental sand fortifications with an inventive wooden horse assembled from barrels, benches and timber supports. The enormous barred gate gives the scene architectural weight, while rows of guards and the penguins below make the confrontation immediately readable. It turns the sandcastle brief into a distinctive, playful siege scene.

#3 - Snauzher

Feedback: Third place combines towering sand architecture with a lush, inviting holiday courtyard. The sculptural left tower and planted battlements establish a striking skyline, while waterfalls, turquoise pools and striped loungers deliver the summer atmosphere. Shell decorations and greenery link the grand structures to the smaller beach details beautifully.

#4 - Todde95

Feedback: Fourth place gives the sandcastle a strong resort identity through repeated towers, arched doors and shell-trimmed walls. Elevated rows of wooden seats and palm-shaped parasols create a clear second level above the colourful loungers. The disciplined repetition makes the architecture cohesive while keeping the summer theme unmistakable.

#5 - maver1995

Feedback: Fifth place presents a compact seaside fortress with layered sand walls, a chain-supported drawbridge and dragon sculptures guarding the approach. Dense tropical planting frames the castle, while the crocodile float, paddling pool and ducks soften the siege theme with beach humour. The combination of recognisable architecture and characterful shoreline details gives the scene plenty to explore.
